APFED II Plenary Meetings
The Plenary Meeting serves as the governing body for APFED II activities. It takes place once every year. APFED members, NetRes representatives and heads of designated international organisations attend the Plenary Meeting to review the progress made in implementing APFED II activities, and to discuss future work programmes taking into account the priority policy challenges in pursuit of sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.
Third Plenary Meeting ( August 2007 Chengdu, China)
The Third Second Plenary Meeting of APFED II was held in Chengdu, China from 23 - 24 August 2007. APFED members, observers, government officials and NGO and private sector representatives attended the meeting. As a part of the APFED Knowledge Initiative, the Ryutaro Hashimoto APFED Awards Committee made the final selection of the prize winners for 2007 and the award ceremony was held at the meeting.
Second Plenary Meeting (August 2006 Adelaide, Australia)
The Second Plenary Meeting of APFED II was held in Adelaide, Australia from 31 July - 1 August 2006. A total of 53 APFED members, observers, government officials and NGO and private sector representatives attended the meeting. As a part of the APFED Knowledge Initiative, the Ryutaro Hashimoto APFED Awards Committee made the final selection of the prize winners for 2006 and the award ceremony was held at the meeting.
First Plenary Meeting (November 2005 Bogor, Indonesia)
The First Plenary Meeting of APFED II was held from 21-22 November 2005 in Bogor, Indonesia. At the meeting, concrete measures for implementing the APFED recommendations from the final report on its first phase were discussed. Furthermore, H.E. Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi (Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Former Minister of the Environment, Japan) was elected as the chairperson for APFED II.
